At the East London and Havering Branch of the RSPCA, we're on a mission to provide hope, care, and a brighter future for vulnerable cats in need.

The cats that come into our care have often suffered sickness, injury, neglect—or worse. We give them food, a comfy shelter and the emotional and physical care they need, for as long as they need, until they’re ready to find their new forever home.

FAQs

1. Where will my money go?

£5 will help to pay for boarding for our cats, and to provide each one arriving at our doorstep with the vet treatment, food, toys and treats they need.

2. Does my money just go to one cat?

It will go towards helping all our cats in the pens. Your money will always be used directly in caring for our cats.

3. Can I find out more about the cats in the pen that I’m sponsoring?

You are welcome to get in touch with us for more information. We will try to email updates as often as we can, but please bear in mind we’re a small branch with no paid staff so we do our best!

4. What are the pens like?

Our pens are lovely and big, with plenty of space for our cats to stretch their legs. They have an inner area where the cat can go for some me time, and an outer area to play. All our pens have comfy beds, blankets, scratching post, shelves and toys. Our cats are fed wet and dry food twice a day. Check out our youtube channel - after 2022 you can see how our cats enjoy their new boarding facility.

5. Can I come to see the sponsored pen?

Unfortunately many of our cats have had a very rough time so we try to minimise the stress they’re exposed to as much as possible. Our pens are therefore not open to visits from sponsors.

6. Can I give sponsorship as a gift?

Of course! It’s the purrfect present. Just fill in the form (step 1 of 2) and give us the details under Question 5. We will get that sorted.

7. What if I change my mind?

You can cancel this sponsorship anytime you want. (Of course our furry friends would be very sad to see you go...)
